James Ehnes's recording of Bach's Sonatas for Violin and Harpsichord (vol.1) with Luc Beausejour (Analekta) has been nominated for a 2006 JUNO Award in the category of CLASSICAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR: SOLO OR CHAMBER ENSEMBLE.
The awards will be handed out on Sunday April 1&2, 2006 at a ceremonies in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Check back for updates!

As a tribute to the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth (which just happens to coincide with his own 30th birthday!), James Ehnes has just finished recording Mozart's complete output for solo violin and orchestra. For the project he gathered an ensemble of extraordinary musicians from around the world for recording sessions in Toronto, Ontario from August 18-21.
